Congratulations to Gimnazija Metković for obtaining the Expert label, proving that their school has a well-rounded STEM strategy and is continuously dedicated to developing their STEM teaching and learning!
According to Jozo Jurković:
"With pride and great satisfaction, I can say that Gimnazija Metković has been awarded the STEM School Label – Expert, the highest level of recognition for excellence in STEM education at the European level. For me, this recognition represents confirmation that the effort, dedication and commitment of our teachers and students have not gone unnoticed.
As a principal, I am especially proud of our team of teachers who, with their enthusiasm and innovative approach, demonstrate daily that education can be inspiring and transformative. Our students, with their curiosity, diligence and openness to new challenges, show that investing in STEM fields is indeed an investment in the future.
I would also like to express my deep gratitude to parents and the local community who support and follow us in all our activities. I would particularly like to thank my colleagues for their dedicated work in leading the assessment process, which was crucial for obtaining this label.
This label is not only a recognition but also a strong motivation for us to continue building Gimnazija Metković as a school that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and creativity. The STEM School Expert label shows that not only Gimnazija Metković keeps up with European trends in education but also actively shapes them. I believe that this recognition will inspire all of us to continue developing a school which prepares young people for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century."
